Ultimate Guide Of Diy Natural Skincare Recipes
I was raised like many of us. I loved fruity, chemical-filled body splashes. I used face wash that had little blue beads in it that somehow made me feel like it was really cleansing my face. I had all kinds of lotions & potions made of God knows what, but ohh did they smell good.
Luckily, over the years as I grew more aware, I found my way to natural products that were made with less toxic ingredients (or none at all!), and ultimately made my skin look & feel better than any of the conventional cleansers & lotions I’d ever used. As soon as I learned about how much better natural products were for my body and the environment, and that they actually worked, I was hooked. I quickly got rid of anything that smelled too suspiciously floral or that had more than a few ingredients, and only purchased skincare products whose ingredients I recognized and could pronounce.
Doing this made me feel great, saved me money, and ultimately simplified my skincare regimen without compromising quality. In fact, it was a natural face wash made with tea tree oil that helped eventually heal my adult acne that no other prescriptions or fancy cleansers had succeeded in doing.
After a few years of hippie-fying my skincare goods, I began to learn about making my own. I started with salves, then moved on to lip balms, then face cream, then body lotion, and most recently, body cleanser.
I got so into making my own natural skincare products that I began selling them on Etsy through my line, ORIGINAL ORGANICS herbals.
Now, I’d like to share with you some of my favorite DIY skincare recipes that have helped guide & inspire me over the years as I’ve delved more into this magical world.
